Animal Experiences at Animal Charities

 

There are an increasing number of animal charities offering animal experience days.  Experience days make great gifts for people, giving people an insight into the work the charity does and supporting the charity at the same time, enabling them to help more animals.

Wildwood Trust

The Wildwood Trust is a conservation charity dedicated to preserving British wildlife.  It has two centres in the UK, both in Kent and Devon.  Both have experiences available through its online shop with bears, Arctic fox, wolves, red squirrels, junior keeper and a night tour in Devon.   In Kent, they have experiences with bears, bison, Arctic Fox, junior keeper, family keeper, night tours, photo days and wolves. 

Northcote Heavy Horses and Animals
 
Northcote near Skegness in Lincolnshire have two experiences:  one with Heavy Horses and one with llamas.   Its mission is to provide a sanctuary to all horses and animals that come to us.

East Sussex WRAS Wildlife Rescue

WRAS has a Hedgehog Experience which gives you othe chance to spend the morning working at WRAS feeding and cleaning some hedgehogs, getting to handle them, as well as learning more about these fascinating creatures.
